Q&A With Kyle Cobb

Why did you join The Pack?

Tell us what drew you to Jackal Workwear and why being part of The Pack matters to you.

“I’ll be totally honest—I saw quite a few people promoting it so just thought I would try it out. I was very impressed with the quality.”

Kyle’s journey to the Pack started with curiosity—backed by real-life recommendations and the promise of solid kit.

What made you get into the trade?

Share a bit about your journey into construction—what inspired you or led you here?

“I have been a joiner/cabinet maker since the day I finished school at 16. I have always loved building things that I can step back and be proud of. Now, having recently started my own business, it’s a whole new challenge to try and get the class of customers that I am used to working for in the past. Social media is a big part of that.”

From finishing school to running his own bespoke cabinetry business, Kyle’s all about the satisfaction of real, quality craft—and building a loyal client base today through social media and word of mouth.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on-site?

We all have funny or bizarre stories from the trade—what’s yours?

“I was on a job in a very expensive new build house in London and they had a huge indoor swimming pool dug. They got a guy over from Italy to individually mosaic the whole thing and, when he finished, the customer said it wasn’t deep enough. So they had to rip the whole thing up to make it deeper and do it all over again!”

Proof that in the building game, sometimes the most jaw-dropping stories aren’t about the build—they’re about what happens after.

If you were a tool, what would you be and why?

A playful question that lets your personality shine!

“I’d be a hammer—simple but gets the job done every time!”

No frills, no drama—Kyle’s straightforward and effective, just like a hammer.

What Jackal design do you want to see next and why?

Got an idea for a new design? Let us know—we’re always listening to The Pack!

“I really like the single colour designs, nice big logo across the back and a simple jackal on the front, maybe grey on black.”

Kyle’s style is all about classic looks—bold and clean, letting the logo do the talking.

Do you have a question for The Pack we can put out from The Jackal account?

Can be anything you like, just keep it clean.

“Do you feel like you often get looked down on as 'just a builder' by people in high paid office jobs?”

A question that hits home for so many in the trade—join the debate below.

Industry Insights: Kyle Cobb on Key Trade Issues

Mental Health in Construction

“I love that mental health in construction has become such a hot topic. I personally have suffered on and off for a long time and running such a complex business as bespoke cabinetry all alone can really get to your head. The online support from the construction industry can really make a difference.”

Kyle’s honesty highlights how much we need community support—and why breaking the stigma matters now more than ever.

Tool Theft in the Building Trade

“Tool theft just seems to be getting worse and worse. It needs to be made much harder to sell on stolen tools and the sentencing for those caught needs to be far, far worse.”

Kyle’s call is for tougher action and real deterrents—so trades can focus on their work instead of worrying about their kit.

Why Kyle Makes the Pack Stronger

From proud craftsmanship to business savvy, Kyle Cobb stands for everything we want in the Pack. He proves that building something worthwhile takes grit, skill, and support—from your gear and your community alike.
