At Jackal Workwear, Pack Mentality isnât just a mottoâitâs the heart of everything we do. This spotlight features J2, one of the original Jackals, sharing exactly how The Pack started, what drives it forward, and why community, honesty, mental health, and tool theft matter most.

Q&A with J1
Why did you start The Pack?
âIt all started from a random chat that sparked an idea â what if tradies could wear gear that actually meant something? Clothing that looked good, supported charities that support our own, and did it all anonymously. Thatâs what hooked me â knowing people would buy because they loved the design or the cause, not because of who was behind it. From that moment, it was full steam ahead⌠and Jackal Workwear was born.Â
What made you get into the trade?
âFamily â itâs simple. Itâs in my blood; I was born into it
Â
If you were a tool, what would you be and why?
âif I were a tool, Iâd be a tape measure â precise, detail-oriented, and always ready to give it to you straight
Â
What Jackal design do you want to see next and why?
Honestly, I just love the requests that come in â thereâs no single person deciding whatâs next. Itâs a mix of whatâs happening in the industry, whatâs going on in the world, and what you guys are talking about. This company isnât just J1 and J2 â itâs everyone.â
Â
Your question for The Pack
âWhats the first thing on your bucket list?â

Industry Insights
Mental Health in Construction
âWe talk about this loudly â and often â because itâs something we deeply care about. Raising awareness, creating safe spaces⌠yes, thereâs been progress, but itâs still not enough, and we wonât stop speaking up. Jackal will always be a place thatâs inclusive to everyone. Good day or bad day, our inbox is always open â zero judgement, always support.â
Â
Tool Theft
âTool theft and mental health are so closely connected â and Iâm genuinely in awe of the work Frankie, Shoaib, and everyone involved has done to raise awareness. The way theyâre supporting those affected and helping victims get their tools back is incredible. Thereâs still a long road ahead, but I know theyâll always have endless backing for what theyâre doing. As an industry, weâll always stand united in the fight against it.â

Questions from The Pack
Whatâs your role at Jackal?
Honestly, we donât really split roles â we both take responsibility for the brand as a whole. We bounce ideas off each other for designs, social media, and whatâs coming next. If I had to pick one specific role though⌠itâs probably keeping J2 in line and stopping them from getting too carried away with some of his wild ideas! đÂ
Best and Worst parts of running this brand?
The best part? Hands down, itâs seeing your reactions â supporting us without even knowing who we are, just coming together because you genuinely like what we do. In a world where social media can be toxic and the industry can be tough on small brands, youâve shown us nothing but support, completely unbiased â and for that, Iâm truly thankful.
If I had to pick a downside, itâs that we canât always create everything you ask for. Weâd love to, but with us all running our own businesses alongside this, plus copyright and legal restrictions, sometimes itâs just not possible â as much as weâd love to make it happen for you!
Â
Scariest thing Iâve ever done?
Probably calling out someone close to me. I knew they were living a lie â to themselves and everyone around them â and Iâm just not the type to sit back and stay quiet. Speaking hard truths isnât easy, but itâs something Iâll always do.
Â
Conclusion

At the end of the day, Jackal isnât just J1 and J2 â itâs everyone who believes in what theyâre doing.
